Applies only to Clarke County and establishes a $32,500 annual expense allowance for the Sheriff, payable in equal monthly installments from the county general fund, effective the first day of the month following adoption.

Expense allowance is in addition to all other compensation and benefits and may be treated as compensation for retirement purposes.

Beginning the sheriff's next term of office, the annual salary shall be increased by $32,500 and the expense allowance shall become void.

Expense allowance and salary provisions supersede any other law providing for expense allowance, salary, or other compensation for the sheriff.

Act becomes effective immediately upon passage.
