AL HB519

Prohibits hospitals, transplant hospitals, procurement organizations, health insurance providers, physicians, and other health care providers from conditioning organ donation or receipt on the donor's or recipient's vaccine status.

Defines "vaccine" broadly to include biologics, DNA-based products, immunizations, gene editing technology, mRNA-based products, or injectable drugs used to prevent or treat infectious or communicable diseases.

Authorizes the Attorney General to enforce violations by seeking injunctive relief and levying fines of $50,000 against any person or entity that violates the prohibition.

Becomes effective on October 1, 2025.
