Reinstates the sales and use tax exemption for the Zoo Foundation, Inc., operating as the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo (or any successor entity) for capital expenditures only.

Exemption applies to state, county, and municipal sales and use taxes, but county tax exemption must first be authorized by county commission resolution.

Zoo Foundation must continue collecting and remitting all other taxes to appropriate taxing authorities.

Exemption is effective through September 30, 2027 (the previous exemption expired September 30, 2022).

Zoo Foundation must report annually to the Department of Revenue on sales for which the exemption is granted, with the Department prescribing the report format.
