Replaces the previous base salary of $70,000 with a new base salary of $170,000 per year for any newly-elected Sheriff of Madison County, effective the first full pay period after the start of the sheriff's first term in office.

Provides a 7.5 percent salary increase upon re-election to a second successive term, and an additional 7.5 percent increase for each subsequent re-election to successive terms.

Establishes that a sheriff elected to a non-successive term receives $170,000 per year, with the same 7.5 percent increase structure applying upon subsequent re-election.

Applies special provisions to the individual serving as sheriff on June 1, 2025: increases salary from $154,086.40 to $170,000, adds an immediate 7.5 percent increase for serving a second successive term (resulting in $182,750 per year), and allows subsequent 7.5 percent increases upon re-election.

Restricts the sheriff from receiving any compensation other than the annual salary, itemized expense reimbursements, and benefits provided to Madison County Commission employees, with no cost-of-living increases permitted.

Becomes effective June 1, 2025.
