Proposes an amendment to Section 95 of the Alabama Constitution of 2022 to authorize the Legislature to revive time-barred rights or remedies specifically relating to child sexual abuse.

Currently, Alabama's Constitution prohibits the Legislature from reviving any right or remedy that has become barred by lapse of time or statute; this amendment creates an exception for child sexual abuse cases.

Election shall be held in accordance with Sections 284 and 285 of the Alabama Constitution and state election laws, with ballot description stating the amendment allows the Legislature to revive lapsed child sexual abuse remedies.

Amendment becomes valid upon approval by a majority of qualified electors voting on the proposal.

Code Commissioner is authorized to renumber and place the amendment in the constitution and make nonsubstantive revisions to capitalization, spelling, punctuation, citations, and correct typographical errors.
