• Increases mandatory driver license suspension period for first-time DUI convictions from 90 days to 6 months in Alabama

• Suspension may be stayed if offender installs and operates an approved ignition interlock device on their vehicle

• Modifies eligibility for accelerated license reinstatement: offender must complete minimum 45-day suspension period before becoming eligible to install ignition interlock device

• Makes conforming changes throughout Section 32-5A-191 of the Alabama Code to replace "90 days" with "six months" in relevant provisions

• Effective October 1, 2025
