Designates the bill as "The Good Dad Act" and amends Alabama Code Section 26-17-305 regarding voluntary acknowledgment of paternity.

Creates rebuttable presumptions in child custody, visitation, and support proceedings that joint custody and shared parenting time are in the child's best interest when a valid acknowledgment of paternity exists.

Establishes a presumption that if a parent lives within 40 miles of the child, both parents are entitled to equal rights and responsibilities for major decisions and equally shared joint physical custody.

Creates a rebuttable presumption that neither parent may remove the child from the state of residence without consent of the other parent or court permission.

Becomes effective October 1, 2025.
