Increases the annual additional fee for volunteer firefighter distinctive license plates from $1.00 to $10.00, effective January 1, 2026.

Increases the annual additional fee for professional and retired professional firefighter distinctive license plates from $1.00 to $10.00, effective January 1, 2026.

Redistributes collected fees from fixed dollar amounts to percentage-based distribution: 15% to Alabama Joint Fire Council for firefighter memorial, 15% to Alabama Joint Fire Council for peer support program, 35% to Alabama Firefighters Annuity and Benefit Fund, and 35% to State of Alabama Firefighters Emergency Relief Fund.

Requires collected funds to be audited by the Department of Examiners of Public Accounts or an independent certified public accountant once every three calendar years.

Becomes effective January 1, 2026.
