The Lauderdale County sheriff is authorized to conduct fundraising events, including but not limited to rodeos.

Proceeds and profits from fundraising events may be used for any lawful purpose relating to the operation of the sheriff's office.

The act is remedial and curative, ratifying and confirming any prior actions taken by the sheriff in accordance with these provisions.

The act became effective immediately upon passage.
