• Chief Loggins began his career with the Mountain Brook Police Department in 1996 and was named Chief of Police on October 25, 2021, serving in patrol, investigations, administration, and executive management roles.

• Under his leadership as Chief, implemented a take-home vehicle program, transitioned dispatch services to Shelby County 911, expanded the School Resource Officer team, adopted advanced investigative capabilities, and created the Mountain Brook First Responders Foundation.

• Completed advanced professional training including the Alabama Public Safety Leadership Academy, FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development Seminar, and earned a Certified Law Enforcement Executive designation; earned a Bachelor of Science in Justice Science in 2001 and a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice in 2022.

• Received multiple awards including the FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development Academy Trilogy Award, Officer of the Year in 1998 and 2006, and the Safest Cities Award for 2024.
