• Establishes the Alabama Quantum Evaluation Task Force to study the economic impacts of quantum computing on Alabama and identify public-private partnership opportunities.

• Task force membership includes 4 cochairs (Secretaries of Commerce, Information Technology, and Workforce; Director of Economic and Community Affairs), legislative representatives, higher education members, private business representatives, and members from innovation centers.

• Task force must study quantum computing applications across agriculture, education, health care, manufacturing, supply chain management, and workforce development, and develop a 10-year Alabama Quantum Computing Development and Evaluation Plan.

• First meeting required within 30 days of passage; task force must meet at least 3 times before submitting report to Governor and legislative leadership by the fifth legislative day of the 2026 Regular Session.

• Task force dissolves after submitting final report; legislative members receive compensation and expenses, while nonlegislative members serve without compensation but may receive reimbursement for necessary expenses.
