Robert Lee Wilder of Aliceville, Alabama, died on March 19, 2025, at age 68, leaving a void in his family and community.

Wilder had a career spanning auto mechanics, diesel mechanic work for the Pickens County Board of Education for over 33 years (retiring in 2012), and bus driving for the City of Carrollton.

He served as Aliceville City Park Director, Athletic Booster Club President, and coached high school and little league sports, earning multiple championships and trophies.

Wilder served on the Aliceville City Council from November 2008 to March 2025 for four consecutive unopposed terms and served on the Government Utility Board since 2020 after becoming a Certified Municipal Official.

The Alabama Legislature records his death with deep sadness and offers this resolution as tribute to his life and civic service.
