Creates the Alabama K-12 Mental Health Task Force to evaluate and recommend policies promoting student mental health in public K-12 schools.

Membership includes legislators appointed by leadership, state education and mental health officials, two clinical experts (psychiatrist and psychologist) appointed by Governor and Lieutenant Governor, committee chairs, and any additional legislators who wish to participate.

Task force shall collect and analyze mental health data in schools, evaluate current resources and identify gaps, develop prevention programs in elementary schools, review staff training needs, and assess workforce adequacy.

First meeting must be called within 90 days of passage, with members electing a chair and vice chair; legislative members receive compensation and per diem while non-legislative members serve without pay but may be reimbursed for expenses.

Task force must submit findings and recommendations to the Legislature by the fifteenth legislative day of the 2027 Regular Session, after which it dissolves; all meetings and documents must be reported to the Secretary of State.
