William F. "Bill" O'Connor, Jr. of Montgomery, Alabama, died on September 9, 2024, at age 73.

Served as second President and CEO of the Business Council of Alabama from 1996 to 2003, leading the 5,000-member organization during significant growth.

Founded consulting firm Results LLC specializing in education, governmental affairs, and public relations; led legislative initiatives in economic development, technology, biomedical research, and public health.

Held multiple positions at the University of Alabama including Assistant to the President, UA System Vice Chancellor for Governmental Relations, and Associate Professor of Advertising and Public Relations at the College of Communication and Information Sciences.

Survived by wife Vicki Gray O'Connor, daughter Anna O'Connor Norris, five siblings, and brother-in-law Dr. Steven Mark Gray.
