Recognizes civil rights advocate Catrena Norris Carter for her 35-year career in civil and women's rights movements and founding multiple nonprofit organizations.

Notes Carter's role as CEO of Salute Selma, Incorporated, which organized the first Black Women Led March in 2020 with over 30,000 participants on the 55th anniversary of the Selma to Montgomery March.

Acknowledges Carter's three decades leading the Bridge Crossing Jubilee, Incorporated, which annually reenacts the 1965 Bridge Crossing and has attracted hundreds of thousands of supporters including former Presidents Biden, Clinton, Obama, and Bush.

Highlights Carter's founding of Women of Will (WOW), a nonprofit training hundreds of women for political office, and her leadership of the "Vote or Die" movement that contributed to Doug Jones becoming Alabama's first Democratic U.S. Senator.

Commends Carter's numerous professional accomplishments and awards, including the Hospitality Manager of the Year for Alabama, Best of Minority Business Award for nonprofits, and recognition as one of Alabama's Top 10 Powerhouse Women in 2013.
