Recognizes Pink Hard Hat Girls and Women in CTE, Construction, and Manufacturing Programs and Occupations established in Jackson County as educational workforce development initiatives for high school girls and women.

Designates March 2-8 as Women in Construction Week to honor women who have overcome challenges and stereotypes in construction and to encourage more women to pursue careers in the field.

Program participation is open to students in grades 10-12 in CTE, Construction, and Manufacturing programs, women in construction careers, student advisers, and partnering companies.

Meetings will occur six times during the school year with students visiting local industries and hearing from female speakers working in CTE, Construction, or Manufacturing occupations, with transportation provided by schools.

Encourages young girls and women everywhere to pursue careers regardless of gender and create a lasting legacy for all women in the future.
