Alabama House of Representatives commends the Upsilon Chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha at Auburn University on its 130th anniversary.

Pi Kappa Alpha was founded on March 1, 1868, at the University of Virginia; the Upsilon Chapter was established on April 5, 1895, when Auburn was called Agricultural and Mechanical College of Alabama.

The Upsilon Chapter is the oldest Pi Kappa Alpha chapter never to have been silenced by the national fraternity or Auburn University in the fraternity's 157-year history.

The chapter has initiated 3,480 members and remains one of the dominant fraternities at Auburn University, with core values of Scholar, Leader, Athlete, and Gentleman.
