Lewis is an eighth grade Physical Science teacher in her seventh year of teaching in Jefferson County Schools

Holds a Bachelor of Science in Biological Science from The University of Alabama, a Masters in Secondary Education with a concentration in Biology from The University of Alabama at Birmingham, and a National Certificate for STEM Teaching from the National Institute for STEM Education

Recognized for creating a welcoming atmosphere, building meaningful relationships with students, incorporating innovative lessons, and fostering student engagement and understanding of science concepts with real-world applications
