Commends the Brilliant School Varsity Lady Tigers Basketball Team for finishing as runner-up in the Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA) Class 1A State Championship on February 27, 2025, at Legacy Arena in Birmingham, Alabama.

Team concluded the season with a record of 24 wins and 12 losses, matching the school record for season wins, and were crowned Northwest Regional Champions.

Brilliant School became the first team from one of the smallest schools in the state to ever compete for a state championship in any sport.

Head Coach Ryan Sanderson was named Class 1A Coach of the Year; Hadlee Sanderson was selected First-Team All-State and Class 1A Player of the Year finalist; Macy Moore was selected Third-Team All-State.

Team members include Karagan Stanford, Macy Moore, Hadlee Sanderson, Laine Johnson, Brooke O'Mary, Aubrey Moye, Marlee Barnett, and Nova Smith.
