Sue Carpenter Andress is honored and celebrated on the occasion of her 100th birthday, born May 30, 1925, in Wedowee, Alabama.

She graduated from Randolph County High School in 1943, worked in World War II aircraft manufacturing, and earned a degree in Food and Nutrition from Auburn University in 1948.

She married John Andress on June 8, 1947, and had a 50-year marriage with three children; later worked as a hospital dietitian starting in 1954 and taught education for 25 years before retiring in 1985.

She taught mathematics, home economics, and child care at multiple schools and served as an active member of East Brewton Methodist Church and Brewton First Methodist Church.

She is survived by six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.
