Commends Jaedyn R. Johnson, a senior at Austin High School in Decatur, Alabama, on being named an Alabama Public Television 2025 Young Hero.

Johnson maintains a 3.79 weighted GPA, has completed seven honors classes, three Advanced Placement courses, and two years of foreign language, earning membership in the National Honor Society and the Academic Booster Club Award.

Has served as a dedicated manager for multiple athletic programs (football, basketball, baseball, wrestling), is a third-year member of the ESports Team, and actively participates in theatre productions, including competing at the state level.

Volunteers over 10 years with the Decatur Youth Enrichment program, tutoring students kindergarten through 12th grade for two to 12 hours weekly, and volunteers at Hands Across Decatur serving homeless and vulnerable populations.

Has overcome significant physical challenges from skeletal dysplasia requiring multiple surgeries since early childhood, while maintaining a positive attitude, demonstrating resilience, and caring for his younger sister.
