Commends the Springwood School Varsity Girls Basketball Team and Head Coach Lisa Sampson for winning the 2025 Alabama Independent School Association (AISA) AA State Basketball Championship.

Team defeated Lowndes Academy Rebels 49-29 on February 14, 2025, at the Cramton Bowl Multiplex in Montgomery and finished the season with a 21-1 record.

Team also won the region championship in the regular season and had three players named to the AISA State All Tournament Team: Shalexia Little (University of Montevallo full scholarship commit), Emily Jo Matthews, and Tori Patillo (who scored her 1,000th career point this season).
