Hoover Country Club's women's league tennis team achieved an undefeated 9-0 record in the USTA 18 and up, 3.0 Birmingham division for the 2025 championship season.

The team won the Alabama State Championship on May 4, 2025, with captains Meagan Ellerman and Elizabeth Pugh leading teammates Kelly Connelly, Juli Drouin, Anna Hart, Jamye Litty, Lena Martinez, Melissa Minor, Shannon Johnston, Courtney Richard, and Melissa Simmons.

Coach Bob Cianchetti and Director of Tennis Boo Mason provided expertise and leadership that contributed to the team's victory.

The team will represent Alabama at the USTA Southern Sectionals from July 18-21, 2025.

The House of Representatives congratulates the team on their championship and requests copies of the resolution be presented to the director, coach, and captains.
