Commends Coach Ricky Knight on his retirement from Lurleen B. Wallace Community College (LBW) after 40 years as head coach of the men's and women's basketball teams.

Recognizes Knight's professional basketball career as a player in Spain, Brazil, Australia, and Argentina, and his coaching background at University of Alabama in Huntsville before joining LBW in 1985.

Highlights Knight's achievements including leading the women's basketball team to two state championships, multiple national tournament appearances, numerous conference championships, and earning awards such as NJCAA Region 22 Coach of the Year.

Notes Knight's mentorship of student-athletes and development of LBW's athletic program into one of the most respected in the region.

LBW will honor Coach Knight on February 17, 2025, prior to the final home basketball game of the season at Seth Hammett Gymnasium.
