AL SB104

Amends Section 31-14-3, Code of Alabama 1975, to expand the Alabama Job Creation and Military Stability Commission by adding two new members: the Chair of the Alabama House Military and Veterans Affairs Committee and the Chair of the Alabama Senate Veterans, Military Affairs, and Public Safety Committee.

Renumbers subsequent commission positions accordingly, maintaining all existing membership including the Lieutenant Governor (chair), legislative leaders (vice chairs), military facility representatives, civic leaders, and departmental officials.

Requires appointing authorities to coordinate appointments to ensure commission membership reflects racial, gender, geographic, urban, rural, and economic diversity of the state.

Maintains existing commission functions including studying military resources, evaluating economic impact, making annual reports to the Legislature by the seventh legislative day of each regular session, and accepting public or private donations.

Takes effect on October 1, 2025.
