Expands the Alabama Math and Science Teacher Education Program (AMSTEP) to include licensed athletic trainers in addition to math and science teachers.

Eligible applicants must hold a master's degree in athletic training from an accredited institution, pass the Board of Certification, Inc. examination, and maintain an active Alabama athletic trainer license.

Provides loan assistance of $7,500 per year or $3,750 per semester for a maximum of four consecutive years to athletic trainers working at least 20 hours per week at qualifying institutions.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents with outstanding federal student loans and must register with the Comptroller to verify employment.

Becomes effective August 1, 2025, with administration by the Alabama Commission on Higher Education in consultation with the Alabama Board of Athletic Trainers.
