Increases the maximum assessment levy on cotton bale sales from $1.00 to $1.30 per bale under Section 2-8-199, Code of Alabama 1975.

Allows certified cotton producer commissions to conduct referendums on whether to assess members to promote the cotton commodity.

Requires the certified commission to determine the assessment amount on an annual basis, not to exceed the $1.30 per bale limit.

Makes technical and nonsubstantive revisions to update existing code language to current style, including clarifying language around producer participation eligibility and referendum voting procedures.

Becomes effective October 1, 2025.
