Proposes a constitutional amendment allowing elected and appointed members of Montgomery City Council to participate in the Employees' Retirement System of Alabama on the same terms as other city employees.

Current and sitting council members may purchase service credit in the retirement system for their prior years of service as members.

Prohibits individuals from participating simultaneously in both a supernumerary program and the Employees' Retirement System of Alabama.

Amendment requires voter approval by a majority of qualified electors voting in a statewide election conducted under Sections 284, 284.01, and 285 of the Alabama Constitution.

The Code Commissioner shall incorporate the amendment into the Constitution of Alabama of 2022 with appropriate numbering and nonsubstantive editorial revisions.
