AL SB21

Expands the statute of limitations for civil actions involving sex offenses from 6 years to 36 years for individuals below age 19 or insane at the time the right accrues.

Applies retroactively to sex offenses occurring prior to October 1, 2025, regardless of any previous statute of limitations.

Allows individuals previously time-barred from filing civil actions for sex offenses to file within a two-year window following October 1, 2025.

Becomes effective on October 1, 2025.
