Amends Section 37-15-5 of the Alabama Code to extend the statutory sunset clause for the Underground Damage Prevention Program from January 1, 2027 to January 1, 2035.

The Underground Damage Prevention Program administers the One-Call Notification System to prevent injuries, deaths, and damage to underground facilities caused by excavation or demolition activities.

Requires operators with underground facilities in Alabama to participate in and utilize the One-Call Notification System, with exemptions for small electrical operators with less than five percent underground trench miles.

Operators who fail to join the required One-Call Notification System cannot recover damages if their facilities are harmed by persons who complied with the system and exercised reasonable care.

The act becomes effective on January 1, 2026.
