Amends Section 45-37-230 of the Alabama Code to modify the Jefferson County Sheriff's compensation structure.

Establishes an additional expense allowance of $40,000 per year, payable in equal monthly installments from the county general fund, effective June 1, 2025.

The expense allowance is in addition to all other compensation and benefits and may be treated as compensation for retirement contributions.

Effective January 18, 2027 with the next term of office, the sheriff's annual salary increases to $248,000, and the previous salary and expense allowance provisions become void.

Act becomes effective June 1, 2025.
