Increases at-large trustees on the University of South Alabama Board of Trustees from 5 to 9 members, while maintaining 3 Mobile County members and reducing United States at-large members from 2 to 3.

Restructures special meeting notice requirements, changing from 10 days advance written notice to 24 hours notice before the meeting begins, except in emergencies.

Maintains existing state senatorial district representation on the board, with the Governor serving as ex officio president and all trustees appointed by the Governor with State Senate approval.

Preserves the requirement that seven trustees constitute a quorum and the regular annual meeting on the first Monday in June unless otherwise determined.

Becomes effective on June 1, 2025.
