Alabama Medicaid Agency must provide coverage for any noninvasive colorectal cancer screening test assigned a grade A or B rating by the United States Preventive Services Task Force.

Coverage automatically includes three specific screening tests: guaiac fecal occult blood test (gFOBT), fecal immunochemical test (FIT), and multi-target stool DNA test (sDNA-FIT), provided they maintain grade A or B ratings.

Alabama Medicaid Agency must cover colonoscopy procedures performed as a follow-up to a positive screening test result.

Coverage requirements apply to any future amendments or updates to the United States Preventive Services Task Force recommendations.

The act becomes effective immediately upon passage.
