Amends Section 32-5A-245 of Alabama Code to add exception to mandatory motorcycle helmet requirements for individuals 18 years or older who carry health insurance providing medical benefits for motorcycle crash injuries.

Individuals meeting the age and insurance requirements may operate or ride motorcycles or motor-driven cycles without protective headgear, while existing helmet requirements remain for those under 18 and uninsured riders.

Maintains all other motorcycle safety requirements, including mandatory wearing of shoes and continued helmet requirements for riders in enclosed cabs.

Parents and guardians remain prohibited from knowingly allowing juveniles to operate motorcycles without protective helmets or shoes.

Becomes effective October 1, 2025.
