SB62 Summary

• Amends Alabama Code to change hunting and fishing license language from "person" to "individual" and clarifies licenses authorize participation from September 1 or issuance date through the next August 31.

• Prohibits use of Department of Conservation and Natural Resources licenses as valid or supplemental government-issued identification for any purpose other than participating in licensed hunting and fishing activities.

• Removes hunting and fishing licenses from the list of documents that can serve as proof of residency for in-state address verification purposes (Section 16-64-3).

• Repeals Section 9-11-33 of the Alabama Code relating to hunting and fishing licenses.

• Effective date: June 1, 2025.
