State Board of Education shall develop a cyber safety education program focusing on Internet hazards, cyberbullying, sexting, and safe Internet use tips.

Program must be presented annually by school resource officers to all public middle schools and high schools.

Curriculum shall include Alabama laws on Internet safety, cyberbullying, sexting, and child pornography; information about sexting consequences including digital file distribution and mental health risks; resources for victims including the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children's "Take it Down" service; cyberbullying hazards and reporting procedures; and general Internet and social media safety tips.

State Board of Education shall develop training process for school resource officers to administer the program and adopt implementing rules; each local board of education shall adopt policies to implement the program.

Act becomes effective October 1, 2025.
