Extends the minimum time for setting an expungement hearing from 14 days to 30 days after a prosecuting authority or victim files an objection to a petition.

Requires the court to notify the prosecuting authority, victim, and petitioner of the hearing date.

Allows the court to rule on the merits of an expungement petition without a hearing if no objection is filed by the prosecuting authority or victim.

Court must grant the petition if reasonably satisfied the petitioner has complied with all requirements of the expungement chapter.

Effective date: October 1, 2025.
