AL SB9

Authorizes the Attorney General to bring civil actions requesting injunctions, restraining orders, or other relief against persons violating the Alabama Unarmed Combat Act (Sections 41-9-1029 through 41-9-1037).

Establishes Class C felony penalties for managers, promoters, matchmakers, or licensees who knowingly violate the Unarmed Combat Act or coerce others to violate it.

Establishes Class C felony penalties for commission members or employees who knowingly violate Sections 41-9-1033 or 41-9-1034.

Establishes Class B misdemeanor penalties for professional boxers, wrestlers, and mixed martial arts competitors who knowingly violate the article (except Section 41-9-1034).

Establishes a Class A misdemeanor penalty for persons who participate in or promote unarmed combat without proper authorization or licensure from the commission.

Effective date: October 1, 2025.
