Commends Mr. Joseph A. Chambliss (born November 10, 1936) and Mrs. Geraldine Maria Chambliss (born September 2, 1941) for their outstanding achievements and philanthropic contributions to Alabama.

Recognizes Mr. Chambliss's successful petroleum industry career, beginning at age 11 at his parents' Prattville Texaco station and expanding through multiple companies including Joe A. Chambliss, Incorporated; Martin Petroleum Corporation; Chambliss Limited; and Florida Turnpike Services.

Acknowledges the couple's philanthropic support to multiple Alabama institutions including The University of Alabama, Auburn University, and numerous charitable organizations and foundations.

Honors two transformational gifts made through the KPH Dynasty Trust to the University of Alabama at Birmingham to support the School of Nursing and the Department of Urology in the Marnix E. Heersink School of Medicine.

Recognizes their advocacy for disadvantaged children, support for athletic programs and the arts, and commitment to improving health care and health education access for all Alabamians.
