Commends Taiwan and the United States as long-standing allies sharing common values of democracy, peace, and prosperity, and recognizes Taiwan's role in promoting regional security and economic partnerships in the Indo-Pacific.

Notes Taiwan is the U.S.'s eighth-largest trading partner with $128 billion in annual trade, and Alabama's 13th largest import and 18th largest export market as of 2023.

Supports ongoing trade negotiations under the "US-Taiwan Initiative on 21st-Century Trade" and a "US-Taiwan Avoid Double Taxation Agreement," and encourages Alabama to establish a trade office in Taiwan as 23 other states and Guam have done.

Acknowledges the 2022 K-12 and higher education cooperation memorandum between Taiwan and Alabama, including the Taiwan Center at Auburn University, and encourages increased scholar, teacher, and student exchanges using TOCFL proficiency assessment.

Directs transmission of the resolution to Governor Kay Ivey, Secretary of State Wes Allen, Alabama's Congressional Delegation, and the Director-General of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Atlanta.
