Adds a new category of second-degree assault (Class C felony) for adults age 19 or older who intentionally cause physical injury to a child in an educational environment, provided the perpetrator is not employed by or enrolled in the associated educational entity

Makes minor technical/formatting corrections to existing assault statute language (e.g., changing "off-duty" hyphenation, removing "Provided, however, that")

Retains all existing second-degree assault provisions covering assaults on peace officers, correctional officers, emergency personnel, utility workers, firefighters, teachers, health care workers, social workers, and letter carriers
