Amends Section 11-24-2, Code of Alabama 1975, to limit the exemption period for land transfers to immediate family members from county subdivision regulations to 24 months

If land transferred to an immediate family member is subsequently sold, deeded, or transferred to a non-family member within 24 months, the land becomes subject to all county subdivision regulations including plat approval requirements

Exempts counties where local law already requires division of land to be made by recorded plat from the 24-month limitation provision

Maintains existing requirements that subdivision developers must obtain permits, submit plats for county commission approval, include utility delivery plans, and may be required to post surety bonds

Effective date: October 1, 2026
