Requires public K-12 schools to provide alternative access methods for copyrighted instructional materials that cannot be posted online: either physical access at the school during normal hours or temporary 24-hour remote login credentials

Schools must provide access to copyrighted materials within 10 days after receiving a written request from a student, parent, or guardian submitted to the assistant principal

Prohibits schools from requiring parents or guardians to sign nondisclosure agreements or waive rights beyond federal copyright law compliance as a condition of reviewing copyrighted materials

Amends Section 16-1-57 of the Code of Alabama 1975, which currently requires schools to post adopted classroom curricula online for parental review

Effective date: October 1, 2026
