Judges of probate may use alternative publication methods for voter lists when newspaper publication costs exceed $40,000, including posting in at least three public buildings, making lists available at the probate office, posting online, and running half-page display ads for two consecutive weeks

Newspaper publishers are prohibited until December 31, 2029 from charging more for voter list publication than they charged for the 2024 General Election

Beginning January 1, 2030, both the $40,000 threshold and newspaper publication rates may increase annually based on the Consumer Price Index, with adjustments rounded to the nearest $1,000

Counties may opt to publish voter lists as preprinted newspaper supplements at the newspaper's lowest applicable insertion rates for comparably sized supplements
