Certified registered nurse practitioners, certified nurse midwives, and physician assistants may sign physical examination forms for K-12 school athletics participation without requiring an additional physician signature

Athletic associations, clubs, and leagues are prohibited from refusing to accept physical examination forms endorsed by these qualified healthcare providers

The Board of Nursing must add K-12 athletic physicals to model practice protocols for nurse practitioners and nurse midwives by July 1, 2026

The State Board of Medical Examiners must update forms by July 1, 2026 to include athletic physicals as an allowable standard skill for supervising physicians and eligible physician assistants
