Continues the Permanent Joint Legislative Committee on the Law Enforcement Medal of Honor and Meritorious Service Award under general statutory law, replacing its previous creation by joint resolution

Committee consists of 10 members: 5 House members appointed by the Speaker and 5 Senate members appointed by the President Pro Tempore, with at least one minority party member from each chamber

Committee annually awards the Legislative Medal of Honor for Law Enforcement and the Legislative Meritorious Service Award to law enforcement officers demonstrating extraordinary courage and exceptional service

Members serve four-year terms concurrent with their elected terms and receive legislative compensation, per diem, and travel expenses for committee meetings (except during legislative sessions)
