Talladega County Sheriff retains current base annual salary until January 18, 2027, with an immediate additional expense allowance of $15,200.32 per year paid from the county general fund.

Beginning January 18, 2027, the sheriff's base annual salary increases to $112,000 per year, replacing the previous salary and expense allowance structure.

Repeals nine prior local acts from 1957 through 2021 that previously governed the sheriff's compensation.

Takes effect immediately upon passage; passed House February 12, 2026 and Senate February 25, 2026.
