Freezes annual compensation for county commissioners, judges of probate, sheriffs, tax assessors, tax collectors, revenue commissioners, license commissioners, and elected assistant tax assessors/collectors at the amount paid on May 31, 2026

Excludes longevity pay and merit-based compensation from base salary calculations for local officials initially elected or appointed after July 1, 2025

Prohibits local officials whose compensation is tied to state official salaries from receiving local uniform increases granted to county employees

Terminates existing local law provisions allowing uniform increases for state-salary-tied officials once the current officeholder (as of May 31, 2026) vacates the position

Repeals Sections 11-2A-3, 11-2A-6, 11-2A-7, and 11-2A-8 of the Code of Alabama 1975 related to county official compensation; effective June 1, 2026
