Alabaster City Council may establish up to two entertainment districts by ordinance, each limited to a one-half mile by one-half mile area containing Alabama Alcoholic Beverage Control Board licensees

Patrons may carry open containers of alcoholic beverages purchased within an entertainment district throughout the district but cannot bring those drinks into another licensed establishment

Persons are prohibited from bringing any alcoholic beverages purchased outside the entertainment district into the district during operating hours

City Council must regulate hours of operation, may revoke district designations, and shall establish penalties for violations
