Amends Section 45-34-84.20 of the Code of Alabama regarding special transaction fees collected by the Henry County Judge of Probate, capped at $5 per transaction

First $2 of each fee goes to a special fund for the Judge of Probate office to maintain, preserve, and upgrade records and recording equipment

Any amount exceeding $2 per transaction is deposited into the Henry County General Fund

Judge of Probate may transfer funds from the office's special fund to the Henry County General Fund at their discretion

Effective immediately upon passage; passed House February 24, 2026 and Senate February 26, 2026
